The Irish Museum of Modern Art, in collaboration with the Office of Public Works, presents the magnificent 17th century Royal Hospital, Kilmainham.

During the summer season 2011, 07 July to 04 September, there are free guided tours of the Chapel, the Great Hall and the Master's Quarters from Wednesday to Saturday at 11.30, 14.00 and 16.00 and on Sunday at 14.00 and 16.00.

No Booking required.

Threr is a year round heritage exhibition giving information on the history of the RHK together with an exhibition on the involvement of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers in Gallipoli during the First World War.

HOW TO GET TO THE RHK:

The entrance is on Military Road.

By Luas:   Red line to Heuston Station (5 minutes walk via Military Road.)

By Bus:     Buses to Hueston Station, 26 from Pearse Street, 51 and 79 from Aston Quay, 90 Dart feeder bus from Connolly and Tara Street stations and 145 from Bray.  Buses to James Street (5 minute walk via steps to Bow Lane onto Irwin Street and Military Road), 123 from O'Connell Street / Dame Street, 51b and 78a from Aston Quay.

By Car:     10 minutes drive from the city centre.  Car parking is available at €1 for up to 3 hrs.

On Foot:   Approx. 30 to 40 minutes from the city centre.

By Train:   5 minute walk from Heuston Station; from Connolly and Tara Street stations by 90 bus or Luas Red Line.

Guided Tours:  Available on request.  Last tour 16.45.
