OPW are delighted to announce a Christmas programme of free events at Kilkenny Castle on Saturday 15th, Sunday 16th, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd December to include:
- A giant, illuminated Christmas Tree in the courtyard
- Festive carol-singing performances in The Long Gallery by The Loreto Orchestra, Thukolo Gospel Choir, The Kilkenny Gospel Choir, Cantóiri an Rúthaigh Choir, Sonas Chamber Choir and the Grennan College Choir
- Childrens’ Storytelling, Magic shows, Music for tiny tots
- Balloon making & face painting
- Christmas-themed decoration throughout the Castle’s Period rooms, with a particular highlight being the presentation of the ornate Dining Room with Victorian-style furnishings and seasonal tableware
