Five years of research and development have culminated in an exhibition that will inspire and delight.
The exhibition coincides with the launch of a large format fine art photographic book of the same name featuring 50 prints, taking the reader on a sumptuous tour of the Dingle Peninsula and providing a definitive look at its coast line and Islands.
Chris May is an award winning published photographer living on the Dingle Peninsula within sight of the Atlantic Ocean. His passion for photographs started when he was ten years old and after working in Theatre Photography for eight years he became an independent professional in 2012. Working from his Gallery on the Slea Head Drive Chris has spent the last five years putting together a portrait of the Atlantic. From wild storms and six meter waves to calm sunsets and vibrant colours he has ensured that each shot captures the location at its very best. Some of the photographs have taken several years to acquire.
The Exhibition will be opened by Minister Jimmy Deenihan T.D. (Arts, Heritage and Gaeltachta) on Saturday 14th June at 7pm in The Blasket Centre.
